Here is the second movie in which I have chosen to analyse, it has a few comparisons to snatch, but this is more a action/thriller not humorous in any way. The opening scene here has fairly basic camera shots over the shoulder etc... but the interesting thing is the editing.

Shot 1: Shot number one is the establishing shot of a guy being covered in petrol and about to be lit on fire and than shot several times. It is quite a morbid opening as a guy dies very early on. The camera angle is over the shoulder and there is no music going on whilst this is happening

Shot 2: Shot two shows a anonymous man who is cleverly covered so we can't tell who it is. No characters are formally introduced throughout this shot. The shot type is medium close which is a good shot to use in these circumstances.

Shot 3: The shot is almost introducing the characters, the camera focuses on the guy with the hat as we cant tell who it is but he is obviously a focus point. This shot is quite moving as these two guys showing no emotion are watching a guy burn to death, this could tell us something about the characters. This also could be hinting to the audience the type of movie it is going to be.

Shot 4: This is a shot of naked lady's packaging up drugs, they are naked so that they can't steel any of the merchandise. Right now the main guy is talking to his family who are visiting him and the camera is following him while he shows them this room.

Shot 5: This is a picture of the main guy who has excused himself from the table to solve some unfinished business. This is a very powerful shot as it shows two men having a small argument over money and than a gun gets put to his head and than shot. The camera here is still as the men don't really move they just talk.

Shot 6: This is a medium/long shot which shows the whole family sitting down eating some food. There is no non-diegetic sound playing its just them talking.
