Media screen shots from the opening scene Snatch
Shot 1: Is the establishing shot of four Jewish men in Antwerp who are getting out a elevator. The camera is watching the men from a T.V where the four men are on surveillance This is a very unique way of taking a shot but it gives the audience a sense of suspicion and regulated, maybe its a very important place.
Shot 2: This shot is continuing the story and after the four men being checked by security it doesn't detect the guns in which the big guy has. This medium shot is concentrated on the man with he gun but it also shows the other men. By now the non-diegetic sound has changed to a more upbeat and tense electronic music.
Shot 3: Is a medium shot of the Jewish guy reaching for some papers which could be related to the diamond. This robbery has been very clean as no one has been shot, its just a rush to find the diamond.
Shot 4: Shows the most dominant leader Jewish man who is putting a gun to one of the jewelers heads, trying to get them to hand the rock over.
Shot 5: Shows a Jewish guy holding a revolver and the editors have included one of the credits here which is quite cool as on screen there is a 3 second pause while they introduce the character. The non-diegetic sound also stops here so it give a second or two to process what is happening.
Shot 6: The diamond itself is being showed, it means that the Jewish men have accomplished what they set out to do and have found the diamond. The music also stops aswell here its as if they are introducing the diamond as a character or maybe it will have more significance later in the movie.
Shot 7: Is the 'Jewish' men talking off there disguise after stealing the diamond. The shot here is in the back of a van and all four men are getting rid of there disguise.
